Armenia Has Not Closed Its Skies to Azerbaijani and Turkish Aircraft
Armenia has not closed its skies to Azerbaijani and Turkish aircraft. This was stated by Lilit Agabekyan, the press secretary of the Civil Aviation Committee, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.
Regarding reports that Azerbaijani civilian aircraft have been circumventing Armenian airspace since yesterday, Agabekyan did not deny these claims, while suggesting that it may be a result of caution from that country or its airlines.
Media outlets reported that on September 12, aircraft from Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flying from Baku to Nakhchivan conducted their flights through Iranian airspace. Turkish airlines are also avoiding Armenian airspace during these days.
