Several Houses Burned in Sotk, Enemy Continues Shelling the Village

As a result of Azerbaijani shelling in Sotk, the community administration building has been damaged, several houses have burned, and roofs and windows of some houses have also been damaged. Community leader Sevak Khachatryan reported this in a conversation with NEWS.am.

According to Khachatryan, the enemy is currently still firing in the direction of the village.

He also noted that there is one civilian injured among the local population, and their condition is stable.

It should be recalled that since September 13, at 00:05, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units have begun intense fire towards Armenian positions from artillery, large-caliber firearms, in the directions of Vardenis, Sotk, Artanish, Ishkhanasar, Goris, and Kapan. The enemy is also using drones.

Intense gunfire that started as a result of a large-scale provocation by the Azerbaijani side continues. The Armenian Armed Forces are providing an adequate response. The Ministry of Defense reports that the Armenian side has casualties and injuries, and information is being verified.

As of 08:00, the situation at the border has not changed, the enemy continues to use artillery, mortars, drones, and large-caliber weapons targeting both military and civilian infrastructure. In some areas of the border, positional battles are also ongoing. The enemy is not ceasing its attempts to advance.
