Healthy Citizens Can Apply as Donors at Syunik Blood Transfusion Center

The Syunik regional blood transfusion center is currently well-stocked with blood components, but it continues to accept blood donors starting from 9 AM, said the center's director, Arthur Arakelyan, in an interview with Azatutyun.

He pointed out that healthy citizens can apply as donors at the Syunik blood transfusion center, for example, at the Goris branch.

This announcement comes in the wake of heightened tensions in the region. The Armenian Defense Ministry reported that Azerbaijani armed forces opened intensive fire targeting Armenian positions in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk starting from September 13 at 00:05. In response, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claimed that there was a large-scale provocation by Armenian armed forces along the state border in the directions of Dashkesan, Kelbajar, and Lachin.

Armenia has already reported at least 49 fatalities and 3 injuries as a result of these hostilities.
