The right to education for children has been disrupted in several communities of Gegharkunik and Syunik regions of Armenia. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia has responded to the Azerbaijani aggression that began at midnight on September 13.

"Considering the current situation and the issue of ensuring safety, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport has decided to grant holidays to public educational institutions in the mentioned communities of Gegharkunik and Syunik regions as necessary, with the condition of making up for missed classes later," the statement said.

At the same time, local self-governing bodies have been proposed to temporarily suspend the education process in pre-school educational institutions in the specified communities.
