Azerbaijani Armed Forces Continue Shelling of Sotk, Casualties Reported

Since early morning, Azerbaijani armed forces have continued their shelling in the direction of the village of Sotk. A correspondent for Sputnik Armenia reports that at this very moment, the adversary is conducting shelling.

The primary targets are residential buildings, and a 30-year-old man has been wounded and transferred to a hospital in Martuni. Damage has been inflicted on the village mayor's office as well as several homes.

Women and children have been evacuated, while the men have remained in the village. In conversations with the correspondent, everyone expressed their determination not to leave the village, no matter the circumstances.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia issued a statement indicating that since September 13 at 00:05, subdivisions of the Azerbaijani armed forces have been intensively firing on Armenian positions in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk using artillery and large-caliber firearms. There are fatalities and injuries reported. The adversary is also employing drones.
