Azerbaijan Continues Rocket Strikes on Syunik
Azerbaijani armed forces continue to launch rocket strikes with Grad systems towards the Syunik province. Currently, the village of Verishen is under threat. A correspondent from Sputnik Armenia reports that shells are landing in the areas surrounding the village, with several hitting residential areas.
Several homes have been damaged, and the shelling is ongoing, with explosion sounds resonating very close by. One resident of Verishen recounted that a shell exploded just a few hundred meters away from his vehicle while he was returning from the fields.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense issued a statement indicating that since September 13 at 00:05, Azerbaijani military units have begun intensive shelling towards Armenian positions in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk using artillery and large-caliber firearms. There are casualties and injuries reported. The enemy is also deploying UAVs.
As of 08:00 on September 13, the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remains tense.
