Video: Footage Released of Powerful Explosion at Kharkiv Thermal Power Plant

Footage has been released online showing the moment of the explosion at the Kharkiv Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP-5) following missile strikes on several facilities in Ukraine. The images were published by Boris Rozhin, an expert at the Center for Military-Political Journalism.

“According to unconfirmed information, the power plant has been destroyed, putting into question the possibility of bringing it back into operation after extinguishing the fire and repairing it,” Boris Rozhin wrote on his Telegram channel.

A special operation by the Russian Federation is underway in Ukrainian territory aimed at demilitarizing and de-Nazifying the country. The Russian leader has stated that his primary goal is the liberation of the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Earlier, Medvedev had promised that all objectives of the special operation in Ukraine would be fulfilled.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that electricity has been lost in several regions following a series of missile strikes. As a result, the metro in Kharkiv has stopped, and trolleybuses have started to catch fire in Poltava.
