Ukrainians Forecast the End of the War
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has expressed confidence that after a few more minor victories by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops will begin to retreat from the front lines. Reznikov shared this insight during an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“I simply have a different feeling (that the fight will not last long – ed.). I am convinced that a few more successes on the front lines, which could be considered certain, albeit small, victories, and the Russian troops will flee, believe me, because we are today dismantling their supply chains, warehouses, and so on, and the question will arise: where will they go? The moral-psychological spirit... will be like an avalanche, one line of defense will weaken, and it will collapse,” Reznikov stated.
He mentioned that Ukrainians have already witnessed how the occupiers fled from Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.
At the same time, the Defense Minister added that Russia has nothing to feed its soldiers or refuel its tanks, as the Armed Forces of Ukraine have cut off their supply chains. Now, with high-precision artillery and equipment in use, there is a high probability that “this avalanche (the flight of the occupiers – ed.) will fly faster.”
According to Reznikov, there are several reasons for this. First, the world perceived the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a small Soviet army facing a large Soviet army, but in reality, everything is quite different. Additionally, Russian soldiers believed that they would take Ukraine in a few days and would be welcomed with flowers, but instead, they began to be killed.
Reznikov emphasized that Ukrainians know they are defending “their country, their families, and their land,” and they “have no other option but to survive as a nation, a people, and a country.”
