Britain's new king has become Prince Charles, taking the name Charles III. This was announced by the country’s Prime Minister Liz Truss.

It is worth noting that just moments ago it was reported that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. Following her death, the British throne has been passed to the eldest son of the longest-reigning monarch in the country's history, Prince Charles.

Meanwhile, flags on the symbolic buildings in the United Kingdom are being lowered. A 10-day mourning period has been announced in the country.
