Brawl Between Employees at Bagratashen Customs Point
On September 4, operational information was received at the Bagratashen Police Department regarding a conflict that occurred at around 02:00 that same day. An argument over work-related issues erupted between Sarmen Harutyunyan, the deputy head of the Bagratashen customs point of the Armenian State Revenue Committee, and Jora Vardanyan, a customs inspector of the same department, in the office of the shift manager. During the altercation, Vardanyan struck Harutyunyan.

According to G. Shamshyan, Harutyunyan reported the incident to Yurik Harutyunyan, and for further clarification, Vardanyan was summoned to a gas station located on the Ptghavan-Bagratashen highway.
At approximately 03:00 on the same day, Vardanyan, along with customs inspectors Orbel Tarminyan, Aram Hayrapetyan, and Smbat Hovsepyan, arrived at the gas station. They were joined by Tigran Harutyunyan, Karen Melikyan, Edik Evinyan, and Sirekan Avetyan. The conversation escalated into a fight, resulting in Aram Hayrapetyan, Orbel Tarminyan, Karen Melikyan, and Edik Evinyan sustaining bodily injuries. After some time, Evinyan sought medical assistance at the Novik Planning Medical Center.
