Former Chief of Missile Forces and Artillery, Major General Armen Harutyunyan Released

Former Chief of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Major General Armen Harutyunyan, who has been in custody for over two months in relation to the Hranot ammunition case, has been released on bail. This was reported to News.am by his lawyer, Hakob Yenokyan.

It is noteworthy that on June 17, the National Security Service of Armenia announced the arrest of Major General Armen Harutyunyan, who had served as head of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces, during the investigation conducted by the investigative department of the NSS.

According to the NSS report, Major General Armen Harutyunyan was involved in signing a contract for the purchase of low-quality missiles worth 1,083,000 US dollars, equivalent to 523,089,000 Armenian drams, causing substantial material damage to the state.
