Video: Schoolchildren in Donetsk Did Not Even Know That the Crimean Bridge Exists, Thought It Was Fake, Says Putin
Schoolchildren in Donetsk did not even know that the Crimean Bridge exists, thinking it was fake. They were unaware that Ukraine and Russia were once parts of the same state, the USSR. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a public lesson entitled "A Conversation About Important Things."
“Yesterday I spoke with the Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov. He was in Donetsk and told me that schoolchildren did not even know that the Crimean Bridge exists; they thought it was fake. They were unaware that Ukraine and Russia were part of the same state—the USSR,” Putin stated.
Earlier, Putin mentioned that it is Russia's objective to stop the war unleashed by the Ukrainian authorities against compatriots living in Donbas. “They practically started a war against them. They waged that war for eight years. And our task, our mission, the mission of our soldiers, whom you mentioned, the mission of the Donbas militia is to stop that war, to protect people, and, of course, to protect Russia itself, because right now, on the territory of today’s Ukraine, they have started creating an anti-Russian enclave that threatens our country,” the Russian President said.
