Tomorrow They May Blame Him for Starting the War as Well: Lawyer of Mikayel Arzumanyan
The former commander of the Defense Army of Artsakh and chief advisor to the President of Artsakh, Mikayel Arzumanyan's lawyer, Yerem Sargsyan, made a post on his Facebook page, which we present below.
“I have already stated that since attributing negligence to Mikayel Arzumanyan did not yield the expected results regarding the 'feeding' of specific masses, they will now accuse him of intentional wrongdoing, which will then be used as a basis for their manipulative interviews and 'spreading of lies'. The process has begun. They are now also accusing him of allegedly ordering the withdrawal of the Armenian forces from the ‘Arega’ height, which was regained through combat, leading to the enemy reoccupying it. I find it unnecessary to address this absurdity. However, I would like to highlight a part of the accusation, which claims that Mikayel Arzumanyan, not being their direct or immediate superior, ordered the personnel to leave the liberated ‘Arega’ height. In reality, since Mikayel Arzumanyan was not the commander of the Artsakh Defense Army at that time and had no authority to give such an order to the personnel, he did not do so. Furthermore, that personnel had no right to obey the order of a military officer who was not their commander. A question arises: if Mikayel Arzumanyan, having no authority, gave such an order, why did the personnel comply with it, and why did they not report it to their superiors and receive instructions from them? With this, I believe everything has been said. Tomorrow, they may even blame him for starting the war as well.”
