James Webb Space Telescope Captures First Image of Exoplanet Outside Our Solar System
The James Webb Space Telescope has captured the first image of an exoplanet beyond our solar system, specifically the exoplanet HIP 65426 b, which was discovered in 2017, according to ТАСС.
This planet's mass is estimated to be 6-12 times greater than that of Jupiter. The celestial body is estimated to be about 15-20 million years old.
The image was taken by NASA/ESA/CSA, A Carter (UCSC), ERS 1386 team, and A. Pagan (STScI).
