Tomorrow's First Graders to Be the First Graduates Under New State Standards, Says Deputy Minister

Tomorrow, our children entering first grade will also become the first graduates under the new state standards of general education, as the implementation of the new standards will begin next academic year in the second grade, wrote Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan on her Facebook page.

“This is indeed a great responsibility for us, and a great opportunity for our children. Let us make good use of both the responsibility and the opportunity,” wrote the deputy minister.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, on the occasion of September 1, the head of the Patrol Service of the RA Police, Arthur Umrshatyan, had issued a statement: “The Police Patrol Service will carry out intensified service to maintain public order and ensure traffic safety in the areas around schools in the capital and regions. The goal is one: to ensure the safety of children,” the statement noted.
