Crimean Authorities Prohibit Use of Pyrotechnics and Drones in the Peninsula
The authorities of Crimea have decided to prohibit residents of the peninsula from using pyrotechnics and unmanned aerial vehicles until the completion of military operations in Ukraine. This was announced on his Telegram channel by the region's leader, Sergey Aksyonov.
“I place my hopes on the awareness and responsibility of our citizens,” the governor told the Crimean people. According to him, appropriate amendments have been made to the decree on the ‘Threat of Emergency Situations in the Territory of the Republic of Crimea.’
The text of the document was published on August 31 on the government portal of the republic. It mentions that restrictions are imposed on the sale, distribution, and use of pyrotechnic products throughout the Republic of Crimea.
The decree clarifies that the use of drones is permitted only for federal executive bodies, their territorial divisions, and the executive bodies of Crimea.
The level of terrorist threat in the peninsula is classified as ‘yellow’—high, similar to other Russian regions bordering Ukraine.
