Agreement to Ban Russian Citizens from Entering EU Countries Neighboring Russia
There is an agreement within the EU Foreign Ministers' Council that countries bordering the Russian Federation may impose restrictions on the entry of Russians with Schengen visas. This announcement was made by the Latvian Foreign Minister.
Previously, it was reported that the authorities of Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia are planning to limit the entry of Russian citizens into their territories. To this end, a national-level ban will be implemented on issuing visas to Russians and crossing the border with EU countries using those visas.
