How the New Road Connecting Artsakh to Armenia Will Be Controlled: David Babayan Details

The new road connecting Artsakh to Armenia is secure and will be monitored by Russian peacekeepers. This was stated by Artsakh's Foreign Minister David Babayan during a broadcast on 24TV.

According to Babayan, both the Artsakh police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be operational along the entire length of the road. He argues that this has more of a psychological significance, ensuring that Armenian travelers do not feel uneasy and see Armenian police along the way.

The Artsakh Foreign Minister reiterated that Artsakh cannot be part of Azerbaijan, citing the fascist nature of the Azerbaijani state and society as evidence. Babayan also expressed hope that the upcoming meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Aliyev will address the Artsakh issue, emphasizing that it remains one of the most critical concerns for the Armenian people.

According to him, without Artsakh, there cannot be Syunik or Yerevan, implying that the issue of Artsakh cannot be artificially contrasted with the Zangezur corridor problem.
