US military officials consider it likely that Ukrainian forces are firing near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, a representative of US command has stated. This was reported by РИА Новости.

At the same time, the White House announced today that the US has no capability to monitor where the shells are landing within the nuclear facility's area.

Earlier, it was reported that an IAEA mission is heading to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The head of the organization announced this on his Twitter page, writing, “The day has come, the mission to support and assist the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is already on the way. We must ensure the safety of Ukraine’s and Europe’s largest nuclear facility. I am proud to lead this mission, which will be on the ground this week,” Rafael Grossi wrote.
