Ukrainian Forces Attempt Offensive in Three Directions, Russian Defense Ministry Reports

Ukrainian forces have attempted an offensive in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, suffering heavy losses due to the active defense of the Russian Armed Forces. This was conveyed to reporters on Monday by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that during the day, at the direct order of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian troops made attempts to advance in three directions within the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

“As a result of the active defense by the grouping of Russian troops, Ukrainian Armed Forces units incurred significant losses,” state the military officials.

“The enemy’s losses in personnel exceeded 560 servicemen. Another attempt at offensive operations by the opponent has failed,” added the Russian Defense Ministry.
