Director of Gyumri Ambulance Station Talks About Incident Involving Patrol Officers

Recently, information has circulated online regarding an incident between a citizen and patrol officers in Gyumri, during which the patrol officers allegedly beat the citizen and used special measures, including administering a substance to his eyes.

In an interview with Tert.am, Arthur Manukyan, the director of the Gyumri Ambulance Station, confirmed that the incident did indeed occur, after which an ambulance call was registered.

"The citizen was a 45-year-old man who was in a nervous and emotional state, suffering from severe headaches and had fluctuations in blood pressure. Medical assistance was provided on-site, and there were no signs of violence or traces of medication in the eyes, at least according to the patient himself who did not report such issues. The citizen was offered transport to the hospital, but he declined by signing a waiver," Manukyan said.

It should be noted that earlier, police officials mentioned to Aroranews that the publication is currently under investigation.
