Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Mehriban Aliyeva, the wife of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and the country's First Vice President, on her birthday.

“You are making a personal significant contribution to the strengthening of relations between our countries, which this year has reached a new level of allied relations. I am confident that the constructive ties will continue to strengthen in many areas and the friendship of our peoples will grow,” reads the congratulatory letter.
