“The mountains are no longer ours. Jermuk is in the hands of Azerbaijanis,” stated Reserve Colonel Volodya Hovhannisyan during a press conference today, adding, “Drilling works are already being carried out here in order to redirect the spring of Jermuk towards Istisu.”

Pointing to the map, he continued, “Do you understand what is happening? All the water resources of Syunik, from the Sisian-Goris regions, begin from the heights of Ishkhanasar, where Lake Karmir and Lake Sev are located. If these lakes dry up or decrease by one meter, dozens of thousands of springs will dry up.”
