“Beware, Children are Here” - Police to Launch Initiative from September 1

On August 25, a working meeting was held at the police department, chaired by Deputy Chief of Police, Colonel Kamo Tsutsulyan. Officials from the Main Department of Public Security, patrol service, traffic police, as well as deputy heads from municipal and regional departments participated in the meeting.

The Deputy Chief of Police noted that in connection with the start of the 2022-2023 academic year, from September 1 to October 1, the initiative “Beware, Children are Here” will be implemented across the country. The goal is to maintain proper public order and safe traffic around all educational institutions and schools.

In order to prevent crimes, particularly cases of theft and pickpocketing, Kamo Tsutsulyan instructed to reinforce service near markets and stationery shops. Discussions were also held regarding the update of road markings around educational institutions. It was ordered to collaborate with local self-government bodies to ensure that by September 1, all schools have updated markings nearby.

During the meeting, issues regarding the organization of service were discussed with responsible officials from the relevant subdivisions.
