Russia Reaches Agreement on Exploitation of Seven Oil and Gas Fields in Iran
Moscow has reached an agreement with Tehran regarding the exploitation of seven oil and gas fields in Iran, while negotiations continue on 14 additional fields.
According to TASS news agency, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji announced this on Wednesday. “Currently, we have agreements with Russia concerning the development of seven oil and gas fields,” said Owji, as reported by the Shana agency. “Negotiations are ongoing for another 14 fields.”
Javad Owji also expressed hope that these agreements would soon be implemented. He noted that Iran and Russia have good opportunities and potential in the fields of energy, transportation, industry, and trade, and Iran aims to see these potentials realized.
