Negotiations with Russia Are Excluded: Zelensky States They Will Decide How to Return Crimea
Ukraine will independently decide the path to reclaiming Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in 2014. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference following the Crimean Platform summit.
He emphasized that Crimea is Ukrainian territory, and the country will not consult with other nations regarding the methods of its return, as reported by UNIAN.
“As for explicit attacks, Ukraine does not strike civilian objects. We know what we are doing, we know where military facilities are located. Ukrainian soldiers can operate there according to plan,” he stated.
Regarding negotiations with Russia, Zelensky said, “Negotiations with Russia, given how things are proceeding, are excluded.” He remarked that “Russia’s claims that Ukraine does not want peace sound, to put it mildly, ridiculous.”
According to Zelensky, the Russians do not think about negotiations and never have. “They have decided to seize our country,” said the President of Ukraine.
