We Didn't Know How Many People Were There, What Scene Would Be Under The Stones: Volunteer
"During the period when we were carrying out operations, we didn't know how many people were there or what scene would be under the stones. It was a horrifying situation. There were even instances where people remained in their offices in that exact same condition," said Thovmas Tsaturyan, a volunteer from the Rescue Service, referring to the explosion that occurred on August 14 at the Surmalu shopping center.
It is noteworthy that as a result of the search and rescue operations, the bodies of 16 citizens have been discovered, and there is 1 missing person.
