Son Went Out for 2 Hours, Father Stayed in the Store: About the Deceased Artavazd Hayrapetyan
Artavazd Hayrapetyan, who was killed in the explosion at the Surmalu shopping center on August 14, was 71 years old. He had gone to help his son, who owned a store in the shopping center. This was reported by one of his neighbors in an interview with NEWS.am.
The neighbor mentioned that Artavazd Hayrapetyan's son had been absent from the store for two hours, during which his father stayed behind to guard the shop. “Artavazd has two sons and six grandchildren,” the neighbor added.
It should be noted that as of August 18 at 10:00 AM, there have been 16 fatalities due to the explosion at the Surmalu shopping center on August 14. The identities of 15 of the deceased have been confirmed, while one person’s identity is still being verified. One individual is still missing. A total of 61 citizens have been injured in the explosion, and four of them are continuing treatment in hospitals. Their health condition is reported as satisfactory.
