China Issues Demand to the US Regarding Taiwan

China is demanding the United States to cease any official communications with Taiwan, as well as negotiations regarding the trade agreement between Washington and Taipei. Beijing is prepared to take decisive measures to protect its sovereignty. This was stated by Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“There is only one China in the world, Taiwan is an inseparable part of Chinese territory, and the government of the People's Republic of China is the only legitimate government that represents all of China,” said the diplomat. He emphasized that adherence to the 'One China' principle is a prerequisite for Taiwan's participation in external economic cooperation.

The diplomat also stated that the US should not send false signals to Taiwan's separatist forces under the pretext of trade development.
