Former US President Donald Trump has stated that there was "no need" for FBI agents to seize any documents during the searches at his home. According to the former president, everything was declassified, and he was prepared to voluntarily give the documents.

"They could have gotten it at any time without playing politics or raiding Mar-a-Lago," Trump said in a written statement released by his press office.

As reported by Fox News, a judge allowed FBI agents to seize all documents that were "illegally held" during the search of Trump's property. The FBI investigation into Trump relates to possible violations of espionage laws, according to Politico, citing the search warrant.
