Aliyev Expresses Discontent as Greek City Times is Attacked by Azerbaijani Hackers

The Greek City Times has come under attack by Azerbaijani hackers following the publication of an article discussing the repression of independent journalists in Azerbaijan, a move that appears to have displeased the authoritarian regime of President Ilham Aliyev.

This information was shared by Tigran Mkrtchyan, Armenia's ambassador to Greece, who posted a comment from Greek City Times journalist Paul Antonopoulos on his Facebook page.

Antonopoulos noted on Twitter that following the publication of the article titled 'Attacks on Azerbaijani Opposition Journalists Will Not Diminish in 2022', the Greek City Times website was hacked by Azerbaijani hackers within an hour.

Mkrtchyan remarked, 'The authoritarian ruler Aliyev, who controls the actions, is dissatisfied.'
