Temperatures to Reach +40, +42

The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center reports: “Due to the influx of tropical warm air flows from the regions of Iraq, the temperature in the territory of the republic will rise by 6-8 degrees compared to today from August 11-16.

In the Ararat Plain, the pre-mountainous areas of Aragatots, Vayots Dzor, and Yerevan, the daytime temperature will reach +40…+42 degrees from August 15-19.

Due to the high thermal background and lack of precipitation, a high fire danger situation is expected in the republic's pre-mountainous and valley regions during these days.”
