What Damage Has Been Caused by the Fire in the Multi-Residential Building? Details

As reported, at 11:47 today, the National Crisis Management Center received a call about a fire in the elevator shaft of the building located at 42/2 Hayrik Muradyan Street in Yerevan.

It has been determined that the fire broke out on the 8th floor of the eighteen-story building at 42/2 Hayrik Muradyan Street, in the cable shaft, and spread from 0 to the 17th floor. Evacuation operations for residents have been carried out; approximately 85 citizens were evacuated.

The fire was contained at 13:41 and extinguished at 13:59. Damaged items include cables, electrical meters, the entrance door of three apartments on the 8th floor (two completely, one partially), the decorative wall completely, four bookcases used as storage, and about 2 cubic meters of books and papers in the bookstore-printing house located on the first floor.

It is worth noting that the complexity of the fire was classified as a “1-BIS” call.
