VIDEO: Oil Storage Catches Fire in Cuba Due to Lightning Strike; Energy Minister Among Injured
A fire broke out in an oil storage facility in Cuba on Friday due to a lightning strike, resulting in 1 death and 17 people missing, while the number of injured has reached 121, including the country's energy minister.
“All of them have been hospitalized, with five of the injured in critical condition and three in serious condition,” reported local authorities.
Mexico has sent assistance to its neighbor in the form of equipment and manpower to help extinguish the fire. Venezuela has also promised to send aid to Cuba.
