Southern Military District Helicopters Conduct Training Flights in the Mountains of Armenia
Helicopters of the army aviation of the Southern Military District have conducted training flights in the mountains of Armenia. This information was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
More than 130 servicemen from flight and engineering personnel participated in the training flights, and approximately 50 units of military equipment were involved from the Southern Military District.
Pilots of the Mi-8MTV-5 and Ka-52 helicopters of the aviation group of the Southern Military District performed complex maneuvers individually, in pairs, and in groups, carrying out flights over the "Alagyaz" and "Kamhud" high-altitude training grounds. The flights took place during both day and night hours.
In addition, in the mountainous terrain, helicopter crews carried out search and rescue operations in a "suspended" mode, evacuating hypothetical injured individuals and developing cooperation with servicemen from the Russian military base.
The engineering and technical staff of the airbase conducted maintenance training for the helicopters during the preparation for the combat vehicle training flights.
