Do You Know the Difference Between Them and Us? Agnesa Khmoyan Responds to Marukyan's Post

Agnesa Khmoyan, a member of the 'Armenia' parliamentary group, has responded to a post by Ambassador at Large Edmon Marukyan, in which he stated that assistance is being provided to Azerbaijan from within Armenia, referring to the opposition.

Khmoyan wrote: “Do you know what the difference is between them (the former 'opposition' 'Nikola and friends' LLC) and us? Where we, as an opposition, are 'losing' to them is that we are not immoral. Yes, dear compatriots, we recognize no restriction, no boundary to morality just like 'Nikola and friends'. In the quest for power, we do not consider what possible harm our actions may cause to the state, how Azerbaijan may exploit it (for the sake of their power preservation), what military operations they may initiate, how many may fall victim, whether our country will ultimately stand or not. If we subordinate these dangers to taking power, yes, maybe we could succeed in removing them faster. Yes, you may criticize why we are not immoral in that case. That is another topic of discussion.

Now regarding Edmon's morality: Playing games with Aliyev, failing to prevent the war, not stopping it on October 19, sacrificing thousands, and then cynically declaring, 'the result would have been the same, but without losses', 'the captives will wait a few more months', deceiving the public by shouting for 'peace', taking votes, and leading to new losses. After November 9, engaging in nonsense with high-ranking Azerbaijani officials and military officers with the non-existent president of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, making promises regarding the construction of a road bypassing Berdzor, without raising an alarm about the construction of the road being carried out by Azerbaijan without a plan approval, then seriously widening your eyes and blaming the opposition for informing the public about your treasonous post-war plans, Edmon, this is your morality. Prove otherwise, special envoy for Nicholas' interests, stand and tell the Armenian people that you have promised Azerbaijan new deadlines to free Berdzor by the end of August, and that a new escalation is not lurking behind the mountains.

P.S. By the way, if I had no morals, I could claim that at midnight someone is knocking on your door, bringing an envelope full of money in exchange for your services, but I am not like you.”
