David Babayan on the Situation at the Contact Line with Azerbaijan
There are trends towards stabilization. This was stated by Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan in an interview with NEWS.am while discussing the situation in the area of Azerbaijan's aggressive military operations.
“Overall, the situation is more stable than in the past few days. We hope that the situation will eventually stabilize,” said the foreign minister.
It should be noted that on August 3, starting at 09:00, Azerbaijani units grossly violated the ceasefire regime, targeting the positions of the Artsakh Defense Army (ADA) and the permanent deployment site of one of the units. In addition to using various calibers of firearms, they also employed mortars, grenade launchers, and strike UAVs, resulting in the fatal injuries of ADA contracted servicemen Gurgen Galeri Gabrelyan and Arthur Yuri Khachatryan.
According to the latest reports, 19 servicemen have been wounded. Three of them are in serious condition, and one is in extremely critical condition. Some of the wounded have been transported to Yerevan.
The aim of Azerbaijan's latest aggression is to take advantageous positions in Berdzor (Lachin).
