Agreement on Azerbaijan's Proposal Reached Through Negotiations

As a result of negotiations between the authorities of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, it has been possible to temporarily stabilize the situation on the condition that an alternative road to Lachin will be launched urgently, which could operate after minor repairs. This is reported by 'Hraparak'.

According to the media outlet, this road passes above Agavnadzor, with a 3-kilometer segment traversing areas under Azerbaijan's control. This road option was initially discussed, but the Armenian side preferred the corridor road option.

'Now, as the Armenian side has begun to stall and has not started this construction, Azerbaijan is forcing the transition to the other option, which requires no months of work. This road could be operational within a month. It will go through Lachin. If the Armenian side does not agree to this option, the enemy is preparing for serious escalation and a large-scale attack. Moreover, the Russians are unable and unwilling to restrain Azerbaijan, as they believe this option could work temporarily until the construction of the corridor road is completed. It seems that the Armenian side will agree to this proposal and will begin the improvement of that road to ensure the connection with Armenia is not interrupted,' writes 'Hraparak'.
