Human Rights Defender Discusses Situation in Artsakh
This morning, tensions continued in various parts of the contact line; troop concentrations are not only directed towards Parukh but also in other areas of the contact line. This was stated by the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, in an interview with 24News.
“The situation remains tense in several directions, particularly in the northern and northwestern sections. These areas correspond to the Martakert, Askeran, and Shushi regions of Artsakh, which form the contact line with the Lachin region occupied by Azerbaijan. Currently, tensions are ongoing in areas that had seen some calm post-war. Troop concentrations persist in various locations, with Azerbaijan escalating the situation. The Artsakh Defense Army is managing to prevent provocations, but at this moment, Azerbaijan is attempting to resolve issues through the use of force,” Stepanyan clarified.
