5,000 Drivers Go on Strike in Great Britain

Thousands of drivers in England have gone on strike, demanding wage increases. Across the country, nearly 5,000 drivers have decided to organize a 24-hour strike, presenting demands against seven railway companies. Due to the strike, many passengers have been affected by travel issues.

The Transport Minister has blamed "militant union leaders" in an article written for London's Times for resisting necessary reforms, while unions have leveled accusations against the government.

The leader of the ASLEF union stated that railway workers have not received any bonuses in three years. He added that employees are only demanding a "real" wage increase. Further strikes are planned in the country for August.
