New Details on Azerbaijani Gunfire
A resident of the Karmir Shuka community, V. Shahnazaryan, reported to the Martuni district police department on July 28 at 16:50 about damage to his house caused by gunfire from the adversary. According to Shahnazaryan, at approximately 11:45 the same day, gunfire struck the window of his kitchen on the second floor and the entrance door of his house.
This information was reported by the Police of the Republic of Artsakh's Ministry of Internal Affairs. Additionally, eight 7.62 mm caliber spent shells were found in the backyard of the complainant's home. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
It is recalled that at around 11:45 on July 28, the Azerbaijani side opened fire towards the communities of Taghavard and Karmir Shuka in the Martuni region of the Republic of Artsakh. The gunfire lasted for approximately 20 minutes. The Artsakh Defense Army also reported that on July 27 and 28, Azerbaijani armed forces had violated the ceasefire regime by firing from various calibers of small arms towards the positions of the Artsakh Defense Army located in the areas of Tonashen and Karmir Shuka, as well as Taghavard. No casualties were reported on the Armenian side. The leadership of the Russian military contingent carrying out peacekeeping operations in the Republic of Artsakh has been informed about the incident.
