VIDEO: Stranger Fights with Couple, Beats Them and Fires Shots
The investigative department of the Yerevan city investigative administration at the RA Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case regarding an incident that occurred in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan.
Reports of a fight and gunfire on 1st Alley of 11th Street in the Nerkhin Shengavit neighborhood, as well as the transfer of a 36-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man with bodily injuries to the Erebuni Medical Center, were received on July 28, 2022.
Based on these reports, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 171, Part 2, Point 7 (two episodes), Article 334, Part 1, and Article 297, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. The injured individuals have been recognized as victims and have been interrogated regarding the circumstances of the incident.
As a result of the necessary procedural and investigative actions, several circumstances regarding the injuries sustained by the mentioned individuals have been established. Preliminary data indicate that the 49-year-old man sustained his injury during an altercation with an unknown person. Upon noticing this, his wife attempted to intervene, but the individual arguing with her husband also struck her. After the couple was at the hospital, the same individual returned to the scene and opened fire.
An examination of the incident scene has been conducted, during which bloody traces and the cartridges of an AK-74 assault rifle were discovered and seized. Forensic medical and forensic ballistic examinations have been appointed, and several individuals have been interrogated. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Measures are being taken to ensure an objective and comprehensive investigation, to identify the person suspected of committing the crime, to locate them, and to present them to the prosecuting body. Instructions have been given to the investigative body.
