Turkish National Crosses Araks River and Enters Armenia
Turkish national has crossed the Araks River and entered Armenia. It has become known to ArmLur.am that Ahmet Ayini has been charged with illegally crossing the Armenian state border. On June 10, 2022, at approximately 19:55, Ayini bypassed the border checkpoints of the Republic of Armenia, crossed the Araks River on foot, which flows along the Armenian-Turkish border, and, having overcome the engineering barrier in the area controlled by the border troops of the Federal Security Service of Russia located in the Armavir region, entered the territory of the Republic of Armenia without the required documents and proper permission.
He was apprehended by the border guards of the Federal Security Service of Russia within Armenia. In other words, Ahmet Sherif Ayini committed a criminal act specified in part 1 of Article 469 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, which corresponds to part 1 of Article 329 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, adopted on April 18, 2003. The matter is currently in court, and Ahmet Ayini is in custody.
