Shooting in Yerevan: Couple Hospitalized
On July 28, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. At around 2:50 AM, the Shengavit police department received a call reporting a brawl on the first alley of Shengavit Street 11, during which shots were fired.
According to shamshyan.com, law enforcement agencies determined that two individuals from the scene were transported to the "Erebuni" medical center with bodily injuries.
They were taken to the hospital by an ambulance. Before their hospital transport, the emergency medical personnel who arrived on the scene provided first aid to them.
The patrol officers found five shells from a submachine gun and blood-like traces at the scene. A group from the investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee also arrived at the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Shengavit investigative department regarding the incident.
According to G. Shamshyan's information, the injured individuals are a couple, and fortunately, their injuries resulted from a physical altercation rather than gunshots. Reports indicate that the police and investigators are already aware of some circumstances of the incident and the identities of the participants. For the interests of the investigation, some details are not being disclosed.
