75,000 Russians Killed or Injured in Ukraine? Peskov Comments on American Data
The Kremlin has labeled the American data claiming that 75,000 Russians have been killed or injured in Ukraine as false. According to Meduza, the first outlet to report this information was The New York Times.
“These are not statements from the American administration; they are publications from a newspaper. In our time, even the most reputable newspapers are not restrained from spreading all sorts of misinformation. This has unfortunately become an increasingly common practice,” said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.
The New York Times had previously reported that according to estimates from the U.S. administration, 75,000 people have died or been wounded during the Ukrainian conflict. It was noted that this information was conveyed by Joe Biden's administration in a memorandum directed to the U.S. Congress.
