VIDEO: Is Military Equipment Being Withdrawn from Artsakh?
People in Artsakh have been talking since yesterday about military columns being withdrawn from the region. Witnesses report seeing a convoy of military equipment moving from Stepanakert towards Shushi, as Hraparak.am reports.
On this topic, Bella Lalayan, the chief advisor to the Chairman of the Artsakh National Assembly, made a post stating, “Despite it being clear since 2018 and much clearer since November 2020 that the Artsakh army would be dismantled, that weapons and military equipment would be taken from Artsakh, rendering it powerless and defenseless, after all this, the departing convoy of military equipment compels me to express my heartfelt wish. May thunder and fire rain upon those who brought Artsakh to this state, regardless of whether they are individuals, states, state representatives, or officials... traitors.”
In a conversation with Auroranews, Metakse Hakobyan, a member of the “Justice” faction in the Artsakh National Assembly, stated that she could neither confirm nor deny this information. “Like everyone else, I have heard such rumors, but even if it is true, I would not be surprised,” she noted.
Auroranews is also trying to verify the information through other sources.
It should be noted that recently, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan, in an interview, mentioned: “To be precise, we should note that due to the war, several units of the Armenian Armed Forces entered Artsakh to assist the Defense Army. Following the establishment of a ceasefire, they are returning to the Republic of Armenia. This process is nearing completion and will conclude in September. As for the Defense Army, it has been in Nagorno-Karabakh and continues to remain there.”
