«The Area is Actually Desolate: Mount Hatis» - Kherobyan on the Construction of Christ's Statue

The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kherobyan, discussed the construction of a statue of Jesus Christ on the summit of Mount Hatis during a broadcast on Azatutyun. He stated, “This is an event marking the start of a project, and there is no talk of construction. Naturally, this project must go through all the necessary procedures and, after receiving approvals, move on to the working phase.”

Continuing his remarks, the official noted, “The summit of Hatis is actually an empty area; there are hikes taking place, but the activity is minimal compared to what is planned. If the program is realized, there will be investments amounting to tens, if not hundreds, of millions of dollars.”
