Protest in Yerevan: You’re Chitchatting with Aliyev and Ignoring What’s Happening in Armenia

This morning, people are dying in Armenia's courts in front of international organizations. The police are using clear force against the people, yet they remain unpunished. Human rights are being violated in all sectors in Armenia before the eyes of international organizations. American and European officials, Armenia has become one of the leading countries in terms of political prisoners. Why are you silent, international community, when innocent people are illegally spending days in prisons?

This was stated a short while ago by participants of a protest organized by the opposition in front of the UN office.

“People in prisons are deprived of medical assistance and are imprisoned at the whim of one person. People are dying during ‘live broadcasts’, and you remain silent, international community, why are you silent? This situation should actually contradict your principles, is this your democracy? The civilized world, represented by the European Union, is not only ignoring the events happening in Armenia but also seems to be cozying up to the tyrant Aliyev in Baku, who is taking away the lives of Armenians,” they stated.
