Insect Infestation and Gross Violations of Standards Lead to Suspension of Bakery's Operations

The inspection officials of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia have conducted checks on a bakery run by individual entrepreneur Anna Khachik Beglaryan in Yerevan, which produces khachapuri, pastries, and hot dogs.

The Food Safety Inspectorate reports that the inspection revealed serious violations of sanitary and hygienic standards. In particular, the bakery did not have a separate household area; the production section did not meet hygiene requirements; equipment, tools, utensils, and containers that come into direct contact with food were not properly cleaned, disinfected, or protected against the entry of pests such as insects and animals into the production area.

The organization’s production activities have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for rectifying the violations and deficiencies.
