Fire Hazard Situation Will Persist: What Weather to Expect in the Coming Days
From July 19-20, the territory of the republic will continue to be under the influence of tropical hot air masses originating from the Arabian Peninsula, causing temperatures in the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor, as well as Yerevan, to reach +39…+41 degrees Celsius during the daytime.
The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center reports that a high level of fire hazard will persist in the valley and foothill areas of the republic. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is expected to be higher than normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight exposure from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Weather forecasts indicate dry conditions across Armenia during the day on July 19 and from the 20th to the 24th. In the evening, wind intensification is expected, reaching speeds of 13-16 m/s.
In Yerevan, from July 19-23, dry weather is also anticipated. Today, temperatures are expected to reach +40 degrees Celsius, with +41 degrees forecast for tomorrow, before gradually declining.
